Standards
NATSPEC cites many standards as a concise way of defining performance and quality to mandated or industry recognised standards. One of the key services NATSPEC provides is to monitor ongoing changes to these standards and communicate them by a number of means including:
- SPECnotes is a quarterly newsletter for subscribers that includes descriptions of new, superseded, withdrawn or amended standards for the previous three months which will be taken into account in the next NATSPEC Update.
- NATsource is a document published bi-annually that lists all documents cited in NATSPEC specification packages. It includes an abstract for each and a list of the publishers responsible for them. Every specification package includes a PDF of NATsource. A hard copy is also available for purchase by all.
Sources
NATSPEC refers to documents produced by a number of organisation other than Standards Australia. Some of these organisations are Australian but many are based overseas.
The Sources provides the web addresses of the publishers or agents for these documents.
Where possible an Australian source is listed. Information given in this document is believed to be correct at the time of printing. [View]
